  • Activate and test installed equipment
  • Maintain PV systems when needed
  • Be able to work at heights and in small spaces
  • Work with electricians and roofers when needed
  • Be familiar with electrical systems and reading blueprints
  • Adhere to safe work practices
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs

What Kind of Education Do Solar Photovoltaic Installers Need?

In general, to become a PV installer, you need to have a high school diploma or GED. Many PV installers attend a technical school before starting their careers.
